Gambeson Model 7

Jupon based on the preserved garment of Charles IV from Chartres Cathedral. Long garment, heavily flared from the waist downward. Bottom edge of the garment decorated with cutwork. Fastened with 26 buttons, the first 13 oval, the next 13 flat buttons. Additional trim strip sewn under the buttonholes. Wide sleeve tapering toward the wrist, sleeve cut ensures full freedom of movement.

Sewing standard:
Machine sewing- the entire garment is sewn and quilted by machine. Eyelets are hand-finished.
Hand sewing – garment sewn entirely by hand
