Charles de Blois Pourpoint – 14th century reconstruction quilted doublet
Recreated based on one of the most famous surviving medieval garments – a luxurious pourpoint belonging to Charles de Blois (c.1364). The original is preserved in the Musée des Tissus in Lyon and represents a unique source of knowledge about 14th-century fashion. A pourpoint is a fitted garment, worn both as civilian clothing and as a padded undergarment beneath armor. The version inspired by the Duke of Brittany’s attire retains the characteristic cut with narrow sleeves, a long line of buttons, and quilted, padded construction, providing comfort and shaping the masculine silhouette.
Product features:
Application:
Perfect as part of late medieval civilian dress, an element of courtly wardrobe, or padded undergarment beneath armor. This pourpoint combines elegance and functionality, being an excellent example of knightly fashion.

Hand-sewn– garment entirely hand-stitched
