The gambeson is modeled after the pourpoint of Charles de Blois from the late 14th century. It features a multi-panel cut that ensures body fit and freedom of movement. The sleeve cut provides complete freedom of arm movement during combat. The sleeve has an anatomical shape and deeper undercut so that when raising the arm upward, the entire gambeson does not pull. At arm bend points there is no padding so that the sleeve does not cut off blood circulation when bent at the elbow. The whole garment is tied with ribbon and buckle or fastened with pewter buttons. It is made from very thick linen resistant to wear.
Sewing standard:
Machine sewing- the entire garment is sewn and quilted by machine. Eyelets are hand-finished.
